Saint John ,New Brunswick wedding photographer. Janis and Jack’s wedding day.
This was a flashback wedding for me. All the way back to grade two. I had run into my grade two teacher a few years back at a wedding that I was working. She told me when her daughter was getting married she would look me up, and she did. Little did I know what a great day this would be.
The energy during this wedding is very hard to sustain for a full day. But, they did it. It was full of great people, roll over and bust your gut outbursts during the speeches, and dancing like no dance floor has seen before.
The wedding day started out with all the cool guys doing cross-fit squats after the morning of golf and a few Moosehead beer by their sides.
I soon rushed off to the ladies location where I saw the most stunning lace dress which I knew was going to be a great match for this pretty bride. I loved watching her walk down the staircase to greet her father’s first glance.
The bride and groom had chosen to meet ahead of time and do a first glance, which is always nice and a little less traditional. I love capturing the expressions during this moment without a million eyes watching them. It’s so fun to see them be themselves during the first moments together during the day.
The ceremony took place in a small little church next to the Rothesay Commons. It was a beautiful ceremony.
Afterwards we headed to the Riverside Golf Course for the reception. We narrowly avoided an out of control golf ball that almost took Grandma, a group of 4 people , a limo, and an SUV out, and then we headed quickly inside. That golfer must have eaten his Wheaties that morning.
Inside the reception venue displayed the most beautiful wedding cake, simple elegance is all I can say. Wonderful work done by Debbie Breau The staff at the Riverside Golf Course really have what it takes to put on a wedding event, the friendly service, food quality and the atmosphere over looking the beautiful Saint John River sunsets is top notch. We did not get our sunset we were hoping for this evening but it was still pretty just the same.
This was a wedding I did not feel like heading home after my services were done. The energy was full force on the dance floor while they kicked up their heels to a fun band called Papa Roxxy.
Thank you so much for this wonderful day, and for trusting me to capture in such a memorable moment in your life.
