Oh how I have missed you all.
As many of you know (those who are on my facebook page), I have recently had twin boys and have been off of work since October. Yes I am now a mother of 5 beautiful, and luckily very healthy, children.
Well the time has come and I’m starting back to work this week. I’m very excited! With the new additions to our family I had to make some changes to my photography space and location which was located inside my home. Well, the new spot is finally ready to go. The next blog post I will reveal the new space to all my clients and will share some new client perks that will come along with the new opening.
In the mean time I wanted to show you some of the projects I worked on myself to add to the new space. With 5 children this product made my projects very fast and easy. I think I love this paint for life! But I love the outcome of the pieces even more.
I purchased the paint and wax products from a past client of mine who sells Annie Sloan Chalk paint in her shop called Suite Serendipity on Water Street. She does classes to show you how to work with it if you are not brave with your creativity. I highly recommend this product. This one little can did all these projects. It goes a long way!
First off , I had gone to the restore store here in Saint John to find my cheap second hand pieces.
The desk I purchased for $15.00
Before it was yellowed and very dirty with drawers not opening and broken handles. I knew it was a keeper.
The chair was $2.50
Again very yellowed, unstable and needing some cushion work. I saw that this chair could shine again.
The folding doors were old ones just lying around the house.
The coat hanger was just an old piece of wood that I white-washed with gray paint. I then added some old knobs, again some from the restore store. I put some of the Annie Sloan paint to them to add some fun to the mix.
So please enjoy the sneak peek of my office space and the projects I tackled. Stay tuned for the big studio showcase soon. :)
I would love it if you would leave your feedback on my services here:
